Wakeboaring on the East Coast

Wake boarding is the fastest growing water sport working its way around the east coast. Wake boarding on the east coast is much more different than wake boarding on any other inland lake. Imagine Wake boarding on one of the great lakes bug hitting waves the height of a pick up truck at minimum. People travel all the way to the east coast to from the inner states of the US to hit a once in a lifetime wake on the salt life. Below are a few pics of people wake boarding on the east coast.

Here is an article oabot the soven brothers competing in Orlando from www.orlandosentinel.com.

"Brothers Phillip and Bob Soven of Longwood won quarterfinal heats in wakeboarding Saturday at the sixth annual Air Nautique Wake Games at the Orlando Watersports Complex. Phillip Soven scored a 78.33 in the 10th and final heat. That was the third-highest score overall in that category behind Trevor Hansen of Groveland and Harley Clifford of Australia, both of whom registered an 80. "It's a little bit of a home-field advantage, but once you get out on the water, no matter where you are, you have to focus on the task at hand," said Soven, ranked No. 1 in the sport."

Geat places to Wakeboard in Michigan

If your looking for a beautiful place to wakeboard in the summer months in michigan, the Au sable river is the perfect place to go. The Au sable river looks as if it is way up in caada surrounded by forest and rolling hills. The river is so wide it looks as if it were a lake. The water is like glass every morning and its like boarding on butter. Below is a pic of the river up towards Cook dam.

The Au sable river averages a depth of about 20 to 30 feet and gets much deeper in many other parts. The river does not contain a lot of boat traffic but does have a few kayaks so that is something to look out for. The Au sable river used to be used as a logging transport back in the day, so there are a number of logs stumps to watch out for but that is way past the Cook dam way up river. Here is a pic of the Cook dam for reference of where you are at the correct spot when you show up.

This picture is taken from the boat launch site, the dam will be directly to your right. Ther current is not very strong just because there is so much water. If you stop your boat in the middle of the river you will not notice any current just because of the size of the river. The Au sable is a very low key quiet place and if is paradise for wakeboarding. I highly reccomend going here if your looking to try out your new CWB board and to get to know your board a little without any outher interuptions or waves.

New 2013 Wakeboards by CWB

Iv been wakeboarding since i was 10 years old. When I turned 12 my parents bought me a brand new top of the line CWB wakeboard and bindings, I just recently bought another board and bindings this past 2012 season. The technology between the two boards that I have had in my life are greatly different. The 2012 board I have is much lighter and easier to do tricks like flips, board grabs, and butter slides. CWB has done an awsome job in the past 10 years improvimg their boards capability and material used to improve performance. Here is a link to the CWB website to win a Brand New 2013 CWB wakeboard.

Here is a picture of the wakeboard and bindings that you could win

This wakeboard is the type of board that Trevor rides and is what he uses in his leasure riding along with his tournament competition riding, which shows how good this board actually rides and how manuverable it is.

CWB is known for their quality and design put into their boards, along with the amound of engineering and time that is involed in assembling these works of art. Boards made by CWB are very durable and are made of some of the best materials for wakeboarding to maximize the lightness, the strong structure, and the Slick design.
